Paper Challenge!

In Mrs. Cabreara's Science class, middle school students were presented with a variety of paper challenges after completing their Science test. What a creative, hands-on way to engage after a test!

• NEST WEAVING CHALLENGE: Build a
bird's nest using the weaving method.
You do not have to build a nest like the
one in the picture. The requirements
are just that you use paper to create a
weave nest that can hold a small
stuffed-animal bird.

• FROG LEAPING CHALLENGE: Who/how
can you get your frog to leap the
farthest? When you are measuring, be
sure to maintain social distancing at all
times - just take turns!!!

• BALANCING ACT CHALLENGE: The
example shown is of a butterfly, which is
symmetric. Your challenge is to make a
non-symmetrical real-life object (using
only paper) that can be balanced.
