The Final Frontier!

The Final Frontier came to Pre-K this morning when astronaut Audrey Powers visited each of our Pre-K classrooms and received a guided tour of LEGO space stations designed and constructed by our junior engineers. She asked lots of questions and got lots of great answers. Later in the day, Ms. Powers engaged students in other classrooms and had a working lunch with our Science teachers. Ms. Powers took time to collaborate with a group of Middle School students, performing data analysis as part of a lesson provided by Club for the Future. Club for the Future is a nonprofit founded by Blue Origin to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM and help visualize the future of life in space. Visit clubforfuture.org to learn more.
Ms. Powers flew into space on a Blue Origin rocket called New Shepard in October 2021. She grew up in Columbia and is a graduate of St. Louis School.
